This is one opinion, but it offers background on challenges, past ops, types of fencing & what Border Patrol says is best- “agents that Fox News spoke 2 called wall 'meaningless’ w/out agents & tech to back it’” “Why the Wall Won't Work” @CatoInstitute

A broad coalition of organizations file amici curiae briefs urging the Supreme Court review of FIRE case at USC. Our thanks go out to @ACLU_SC, @reason, @CatoInstitute, @ASUCollegeOfLaw, and the First Amendment Clinics at @DukeLaw.

Stupid laws take a long time to repeal/reform. The Jones Act is one of the most destructive and it is still in place after 98 years. It didn't take that long to dump Ford's Edsel and Coca-Cola's New Coke. This is why government should do less. It cannot self-correct in time.

State marijuana legalization starting in 2014 did more to reduce marijuana smuggling than the doubling of Border Patrol agents or the construction of hundreds of miles of border fencing did from 2003 to 2009. http://j.mp/2Ex2B0o #CatoDrugWar #CatoImmigration
