If you listen to ⁦ @justinamash ⁩ in this interview, you’ll think twice in the future about referring to Congress as “the world’s greatest deliberative body.” ⁦ @libertarianism

This is a crisis entirely of Trump's making. Every bomb dropped, every drop of blood spilled, every life lost will have their genesis in Trump's withdrawal from the nuclear deal. ICYMI from @normative : "As all of that makes clear, Trump’s conspiratorially minded ideas about the server aren’t just baseless or unfounded-they’re provably wrong."

US special forces are in 149 countries. As we saw after 4 troops were killed in action in Niger in 2017, most members of Congress don't even know where the US military is operating. I'd like to hear a 2020 candidate pledge to bring the troops home, and not just from Afghanistan.

President Trump, the leader of the Republican Party, wants out of Syria & Afghanistan. Elizabeth Warren, running against him in 2020, agrees, as do most leading Democrats. The American people agree. The politics are all there. Who opposes US withdrawal? Answer: the blob.

We knew this was bin Laden's intent before we launched the war in Afghanistan. The fact that it doesn't give today's generals and policymakers pause is astounding. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/10/opinion/911-les
