@CatoInstitute @David_J_Bier : The #PublicCharge rule will deny many more contributors than welfare abusers. A recent immigrant to the US will contribute $150,000 more in taxes than they receive in benefits over their lifetime.

In Texas, @ICEgov wrongfully placed detainers on at least 3,506 US citizens statewide, which could be as high as 20,000 nationally. We're safer when states and localities have the flexibility to make their own determinations in these cases. http://ow.ly/7irG30lCy87 @CatoInstitute

There has been a 91% drop in Muslim refugees admitted into the US compared to the rate in 2016, according to @CatoInstitute, after Trump maligned Muslim #refugees during his presidential campaign. The number of Christian refugees also fell by 63%.
