Many chronic pain patients require opioids long term in order to have a functional and meaningful life. Nothing else works for them, and requiring them to taper off their medication against medical advice causes needless suffering. http://j.mp/2ZpJufG #CatoHealth #CatoDrugWar

The @ACLU has harshly criticized this doctrine for its serious interference with police accountability. https://www.aclu.org/blog/criminal-law-reform/reforming-police-practices/supreme-court-gives-police-green-light-shoot And we are not alone. @CatoInstitute has played a leading role in raising the alarm about qualified immunity. /8
