Well…There are some 4,000,000 Americans who came to the United States from Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall and they do remember poverty as well as the economic system (oh, the irony) that produced it – socialism."

"Venezuela’s accelerating economic meltdown is rapidly turning into a full-fledged humanitarian crisis. For too many in that country, the pervasive shortages of food, medicine, electricity, and other basic goods are making everyday life a nightmare."

"The nanny state is no respecter of party lines....Ronald Reagan once said, 'Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.' That’s worth keeping in mind...the next time some politician promises that he will get some law passed because it is for our own good."
