We Muslims should be deeply worried that the monsters who carry out these brutal attacks are acting in the name of our faith. Yes, they are "extremists," they even attack fellow Muslims as well. But they are acting in the name of our Prophet, our Scripture, our jurisprudence.

Some Turkish Muslims (angrily) asked, "How dare you question legacy of Ottoman Sultan Mehmed Fatih," who converted #HagiaSophia. My answer: With all due respect to Fatih, I follow Caliph #Umar, who did NOT convert any church in #Jerusalem. Instead, he gave them protection.
